Project Controller - DOD
Location: HQ - Fairfax, VA
Hybrid Remote - 3 days onsite per week



Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Project Controller with 2-3 years of experience to support our contract Program Managers.
This role will be responsible for Project upkeep tasks such as deliverable management, reporting, data analysis, and content creation. The goal is to relieve Program Managers of daily tasks. This role will involve working with other departments including Human Resources and Finance.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitors, analyzes , and reports project progress, costs, and schedules to the Program Manager.
  • Prepare reports around staff openings, both current and forecasted.
  • Follows up with customers and employees, as required.
  • Timely investigates and helps resolve customer and employee inquiries.
  • Assists with developing content for (internal and external) deliverables such as status reports, task approach requests, job descriptions, and management plan updates.
  • Performs training sessions on Company processes and tools.
  • Assists employees with travel requests and expense reporting in the Company system.
  • Assists PM with timecard spot checks and approvals.
  • Special projects assigned by the Program Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and communicate with various levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Analytical skills, including research, interpretation, and analysis of data.
  • Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce at a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications.
  • Must possess integrity, be able to maintain confidentiality, and exercise extreme discretion.
  • The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and dynamic team player who can meet the demands of a growing business environment.
  • Be able to handle miscellaneous projects as business needs are required.
Required:
  • Bachelor's in business or related technical field
