The Role

The HR Operations Lead will join a dynamic team of human resource professionals who work collaboratively to grow our firm globally. You will spearhead diverse HR initiatives, ensuring a favorable experience for our team members throughout their journey at AArete. This encompasses overseeing processes related to onboarding, benefits administration and wellness programming, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and offboarding. This role demands both critical thinking and analytical expertise to optimize processes and implement data-driven decision-making.

Work You'll Do

  • Direct data analytics and HRIS management to ensure precision and continual enhancement of processes
  • Drive the annual engagement survey, analyze results, and partner with leadership to develop strategies to foster positive engagement
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards including EEO-1 reporting, affirmative action planning, non-discrimination testing, and updates to the employee handbook
  • Act as the HR liaison for organizational leaders, fostering employee growth and development within teams
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and AArete affinity groups, facilitating communication and collaboration
  • Manage the benefits brokerage relationship to stay abreast of new regulations and partner on large-scale initiatives
  • Oversee firm leaves of absence and benefits administration, including oversight of annual Open Enrollment processes
  • Supervise onboarding for full-time/part-time employees and subcontractors working in the US and UK
  • Support performance management and review cycle processes
  • People manage and support the growth and development of 2 HR Generalists
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a related Human Resources role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrable data and analytics experience is required
  • Adept at adjusting to diverse personalities and varied working styles
  • Skill in navigating ambiguity and exercising sound judgment to make informed decisions
  • Ability to operate autonomously while practicing good judgment and maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent knowledge & understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Collaborative, can-do attitude!
  • Applicants must be based in Chicago, IL and able to work from our Chicago office 4 days a week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources major
  • aPHR, PHR, or equivalent
