About this job

Supporting the Maintenance Manager in the daily operations of the Maintenance department, providing robust support to the Maintenance Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations. Effectively lead and coordinate maintenance team members while actively driving initiatives to reduce manufacturing and supply costs. Proactively implement innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Team Supervision and Coordination:
  • Lead and supervise maintenance workers in their day-to-day tasks to meet production demands.
  • Coordinate tasks with the production manager to align with production needs.
  • Discuss TMP activities with maintenance and production managers
  • Manage/maintain inventory health, overtime, critical spare parts
  • Schedule/plan daily-weekly downtime projects
  1. Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in formulating and developing maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance for production equipment.
  • Team building/training/education for technicians
  1. Record Keeping, Communication, and Safety Compliance:
  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, and machine availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative and reactive maintenance work orders.
  • Communicate effectively with production managers for coordination.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, following protocols, and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment in engineering or maintenance roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior leadership
  • Leadership and management experience a must. A proven track record of performance in project management, cost, problem solving, engineering principles, people management and priority management.
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving proficiency
  • Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hold an engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Possess hands-on experience and familiarity with the Machine/Equipment and Mass Production field.
  • Exhibit critical thinking skills and an analytical mindset.

 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Some travel required, may be international.  Working overtime, weekends, or holidays may be required at times.  Ability to walk long periods, standing long periods will be required.  Ability to gown and wear appropriate PPE required in dry room conditions on manufacturing floor.
