Accounting Associate

Experience: Applicants should possess knowledge of general accounting principles, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential, with preferred experience in Yardi Voyager software.

Position Summary: This position involves performing various accounting tasks and data entry to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, lease administration, general ledger maintenance, and filing.

Essential Duties:

• Execute all assigned accounting functions under the guidance of the Controller.
• Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of specific sections such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, or subordinate sections.
• Process vendor invoices and prepare tenant invoices as necessary.
• Support the monthly preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Enter and manage detailed lease information in accounting records.
• Aid in monitoring asset financial conditions and protecting profitability.
• Other duties as assigned
