Program Outreach Specialist

The Program Outreach Specialist will proactively recruit construction projects into our energy design assistance programs, which serve our electric and gas utility clients.The Program Outreach Specialist will identify, research, and assist with recruiting ideal projects into new construction incentive programs. Success in this role will contribute to real, measurable cost savings for our clients and has the potential to make a meaningful impact towards carbon emissions reduction across the US.

• Identify, track, and cultivate prospective participants in select utility programs.
• Engage in regular outreach including architect/engineer lunch and learns, trade show presentations, cold calling, and active participation in local professional organizations.
• Form and maintain positive relationships with customers and partners.
• Work with practice group managers and program managers to meet participation and revenue goals for the programs.
• Forecast project enrollment to assist practice group managers with intelligence, assessment, planning, and strategy as it relates to the delivery of contracted work.
• Present information in a manner consistent with Willdan's brand and goals.
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as business needs dictate.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field OR 5+ years of sales or marketing experience in the construction, architecture, or engineering industry.
• Excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Motivated and self-directed with an ability to follow through on commitments.
• Ability to complete work assignments and projects on time or in advance of scheduled deadlines.
• Knowledge of the local architectural design and construction industry.
• Quantitative and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to meet obstacles with resourcefulness and generate innovative approaches and ideas for improving work.
• Ability to listen carefully and impartially to others and gauge their wants, risks, and needs prior to speaking.

Salary Range

For WA State applicants, the annual salary range is $67,724.80-$70,000. For OR State applicants, the annual salary range listed at the top of this job post is aligned with OR State's salary threshold.
