The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Assistant Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to work at our American Aggregates of MI location in Oxford, MI. The Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor will manage, develop and coordinate maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities
The Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor will:
  • Support safety and environmental initiatives including employee safety engagement, regulatory compliance and related training
  • Oversee and facilitate monthly safety meetings
  • Track and monitor risk assessments, observations and emergency drills
  • Ensure equipment availability through effective and efficient scheduling of equipment maintenance personnel (Dispatching Mechanics)
  • Oversee and maintain mechanic production requirements
  • Ensure that quality specifications are maintained
  • Assist with the equipment maintenance program and overseeing the Mechanic Training Program
  • Oversee the task training for equipment operation and maintenance
  • Assist the Mobile Equipment Manager in developing budgets, business plans, and evaluating capital expenditures
  • Review monthly budget to manage maintenance department costs
  • Run KPI reports, analyze data and utilize the information for better decision-making
  • Create and close work orders, requisition parts and services
  • Oversee scheduling with outside vendors
  • Assist with incident investigations and remediation of environmental incidents including but limited to spills
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor

Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associate degree or certification in heavy equipment repair technology or related experience
  • Minimum of five years' experience in industrial equipment repair technology; supervisory experience a plus
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAT ET, Cummins Insite and JD Software
  • Ability to understand and work with financial data/metrics
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong self-starter
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods, lift 30lbs and climb
  • Ability to tolerate noise and temperature variations
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
  • Valid CDL A
