**Production Inventory Control Manager**

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Inventory Control Manager has the primary responsibility of maintaining optimal scheduling practices and accurate inventory levels in order to maximize profitability and customer on time delivery and satisfaction. This position will have Production Schedulers report directly to the Production Inventory Control Manager. This position will work cross functionally with sales, shipping, purchasing, production, and accounting to develop processes for inventory, manufacturing, and production control systems and help lead in the resolution of a diverse range of problems consistent with the goals that support our mission and vision.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and perform production control procedures to ensure accurate material movement in the production cycle and accurate reporting in the ERP system

* Develop, implement, and perform inventory management procedures to ensure that adequate inventory levels are present and accurate data is reflected in the ERP system

* Develop, implement, and perform work order execution procedures to ensure timely scheduling for on time delivery to customers and visibility of inventory needs in the ERP system

* Develop, implement, Key Performance Indicators for Inventory Management and Schedule Attainment

* Perform plant production transaction analysis to identify production control problems, analyze root cause, and drive solutions

* Perform inventory transaction analysis: verify the authorization and accuracy of inventory transactions including material backflush, WIP to FG transactions, scrap reporting, I/C transfers, cycle count and miscellaneous adjustments and implement corrective steps when appropriate

* Perform Quarterly/Annual Performance reviews and Goals for Success with direct reports

* Analyze inventory cost data to provide data regarding the cost impact on inventory of labor and material changes, the carrying cost of inventory, resin cost analysis, slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis, and optimizing stocking levels with inventory management

* Manages the substitution and/or disposal of obsolete inventory

* Coordinate and assist in the management of physical inventory counts and perform analysis and review of results

* Perform special projects as required by authorized managers

* Assist in continuous, consistent improvement of system utilization and policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to work under pressure with ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing conditions to solve problems immediately

* Strong attention to detail

* Ability to work well cross functionally and maintain organization of cross functional projects

Strong oral and written communication skills are required in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Strong data and analytics skills

Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain or related field

* ERP experience highly recommended and Global Shop Solutions experience preferred. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft products including required. Excel, Word knowledge required.

Working Conditions

Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time as well as around loud noises is required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to alternate stand and remain stationary with intermediate walking through out shift as needed. Frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet. Frequently positions self to maneuver around the material, molds and parts when moving. Must be able to operate tools and write legibility
