The IT Project Manager is responsible for following project management practices and leveraging an integrated toolset to drive standardization, repeatable processes, and consistent behaviors across all projects. These processes might include weekly status reports, cross- project coordination meetings, etc.

This position works closely with the Director, IT PMO to prepare for key PMO-hosted meetings (e.g., project portfolio review, pipeline review, executive updates). They also work closely with project team members (including IT business partners, systems analysts, developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals) to update PMO status reports, identify & mitigate risks, and ensure overall project timelines are being met.

What you'll do:

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT development, infrastructure, operations, and business units, to ensure alignment and integration of project activities
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
• Ensure resource availability and allocation (if required for project size)
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Leverage standardized procedures to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate project risks/issues to management as needed
• Establish/maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and coordinate delivery between internal/external team members where appropriate
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation utilizing Vulcan project management templates
• Upon project completion, manage project transition to operational support team
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, processes, and tools to enhance project delivery effectiveness and efficiency

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Self-motivated, works with appropriate urgency, friendly and assertive

• Ability to identify and document issues, risks, and problems
• Proven experience managing IT projects of varying sizes and complexity, preferably in a corporate or enterprise environment
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence
