US Chemical Storage LLC designs and manufacturers safe, compliant prefabricated chemical storage buildings customizable for applications in many industries. We provide best in class quality solutions for hazmat and chemical storage needs. US Chemical Storage is seeking an Electrical Engineer. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting chemical storage buildings.

This position will play a key role in the overall success of our organization by designing and overseeing current projects, product development, and collaboration with sales and production teams. This role is the SME for Electrical Engineering items and responsible for leading / assisting in various engineering projects, processes, continuous improvement activities, VAVE analysis, budgets and timelines in order to ensure successful completion.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Engineering design and technical subject matter expert to support the Engineering, Sales, and Production teams as well as internal and external customers.
  • Work directly with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Team to answer questions and resolve issues identified by the Supervisors/Managers and other staff including Sales and Operations.
  • Interact with customers and vendors using professional verbal and written communication.
  • Prepare cost estimates for customers and sales team members.
  • Participate in QA/QC process by inter-discipline and cross-checking accuracy of drawings performed by the engineering team and helping develop methods to improve the process.
  • Contribute and lead various research and development initiatives to identify and implement opportunities for new projects, VAVE, continuous improvement, and improved processes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering team and production to ensure process flow of current projects are on time and meet required deliverables.
  • Problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to be engaged and hands-on.
  • Create electrical drawings and design calculations for heating and cooling loads.
  • Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations both internally and externally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • 3+ Years of CAD experience is a Must. Preferably with electrical and building structural designs.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree or relative work experience required.
  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in production/manufacturing or construction.
  • Knowledge of control systems and basic PLC's
  • Knowledge of FM Global and NFPA Guidelines in the Construction industry is a Plus.Knowledge of IBC, IFC and NFPA 70 (NEC) regarding electrical design requirements is a Plus.
  • Knowledge of design submission process for multiple states.
  • Analytical and mathematical aptitude, capable of evaluating and solving various complex questions and opportunities.
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  • Strong Sense of Urgency.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Safety first mindset and diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members.
  • HVAC and Refrigeration knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with Sales, production, customers, and suppliers


Working Conditions

  • Able to lift and carry 30 pounds to waist and overhead.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to sit in an office setting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Wear all the required PPE including: steel toed shoes and safety glasses.
  • Ability to work in high heat conditions.
