DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them to participate in exciting activities, you will play a huge role in their day. Through this day-to-day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Per Diem employment
  • Work hours are available on the following shifts (up to 48-hours bi-weekly):
    • 1st shift 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
    • 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
    • 3rd shift 11:15 PM to 7:45 AM
    • Training will be conducted on 1st shift (6:45 AM to 3:15 PM)
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee; or
    • One year of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric, developmentally disabled, or physically or mentally ill patients/residents; and graduation from high school or equivalent.

    Special Requirement:

    • Employees assigned to these positions must be registered and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as having met the competency requirements for performing nurse aide work.

    Additional Requirement:
    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    Legal Requirements:
    • A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
    • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
      • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
