As the WPB FC Procedures Manager will support the development, maintenance, continual improvement and delivery of all AML/CDD/Sanctions and AB&C Procedures for US WPB, in line with Global requirements and US regulatory obligations. The role works closely with US WPB business stakeholders, US and Group FCC and WPB BFCR teams across various regions/countries and at the Group level, providing policy and procedure SME guidance and support. This includes engagement with the different product teams, channels and brands in which WPB operates.

The role holder will work with the other lines of business and US and Group AML to drive procedure consistency and streamlining opportunities, for the benefit of WPB business and customers, whilst ensuring compliance with Policy.

Here's what you can expect:
Lead working groups or workshops when required to assist in production of procedures. Drive country procedure reviews, (gap analysis), providing SME knowledge to support and guide the outcome. Ensure appropriate risk controls are in place in the business to ensure adherence to the procedure. Review and assess RFA's to identify and potential control weakness or area for business improvement.

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $87,900 and $131,800

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You'll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS),preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience
  • Effective and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge of AML/CDD/Sanctions and AB&C requirements/regulations.
  • Understands the strategy and objectives of WPB and help drive the procedure delivery in line with these, and knowledge of US and global regulatory developments within financial services industry, trends and impact on the business an advantage.
  • An ability to make judgements and anticipate issues based on experience; ability to break down and solve complex problems. The ability to assess risk, identify solutions and escalation risk as needed.
  • Good organization skills to plan and help manage multiple procedure deliveries.
  • Capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesize key themes and issues.
  • Lateral, creative thinker with good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Capable of building relationships with stakeholders based on integrity and trust.
  • Good team player who can establish a collaborative culture respecting the contribution of team members across all areas, Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders across the business and functions.
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, self-starter with a drive to deliver high standards and Ability to acquire new skills and expertise at pace.
