**A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BARTENDER**

As a Bartender, we hope you are passionate about five-star hospitality, good food, and exceeding our members' expectations. You will begin each shift with setting up the bar area in preparation for meal periods and events including restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies, ensuring the bar is clean and neatly arranged. You will be greeting members with a smile, providing menus, and explaining any "specials" that are available, including wine program details, then taking beverage and food orders on Ipads. You will deliver food and beverages accurately to each table and stopping by regularly to monitor beverages and refreshing them as needed along with any additional member needs throughout the meal. You will ensure compliance with all state, local and club laws and policies relating to the service of alcohol with checking for proper member identification and confirming legal drinking age.

You will periodically attend pre meal briefings, taste panels with the culinary staff to be briefed on descriptions of menu items and sample specials and new menu items, as well as Wine education classes. We ensure that members needs are met so you will communicate feedback to the Dining Room Manager and the culinary staff. **QUALIFICATIONS**

* Positive attitude and excellent communications skills

* Computer literacy

* Knowledge of proper food service techniques

* Knowledge of laws and policies regarding service of alcohol in Virginia

* Prior fine dining experience preferred but not required

* Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleaned

* A knowledge of a variety of wine a plus

* Must maintain a clean and well groomed appearance

* Ability to stand and walk for a majority of a shift

* Ability to carry 25 -lb trays as needed

* Reliable transportation
