**Christ House Residential Program** **And Evening Meal** **Job Title:** **Facility/Kitchen Manager**
**(Non-exempt)** The job is 30+ hours per week with benefits and considered full time. Daily hours may vary based on scheduling needs. The position will have daily interaction with staff, volunteers and clients, occasional weekends and holidays. The position is considered "essential" personnel in times of hardship, such as extreme weather conditions and/or other emergencies.
Other duties as needed. * High school degree or GED required.
* Demonstrated experience in handyman, custodial, maintenance or related field.
* 3+ years of facilities maintenance, the trades or other comparable relevant experience.
* Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
* ?Attention to detail and understanding of maintenance scheduling.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with vendors, clients and supervisor.
* Valid drivers license and able to provide dependable transportation.
* Commitment to and ability to communicate the work of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington.
* Understanding of or willingness to learn Catholic social teaching.
* Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to present a positive, professional image at all times, with all people.
* Ability to remain calm during emergencies and make rapid decisions involving risks to health and the safety of clients, staff and volunteers (e.g., calling 911).
* Have a passion for helping others experiencing difficult life circumstances.
* Ability to climb stairs repeatedly in the course of a workday.
* Ability to stand for up to two hours at a time.
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds walking up and down stairs or standing or twisting on stairs.
* Ability to climb up and down a ladder while handling tools or paint buckets.
* Have specific vision abilities and physical body dexterity required to successfully complete routine handyman and custodial tasks .
