**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**

If you have a passion for delivering on a dream, this may be the position for you. Most every bride has a dream for her wedding -- and it is our Wedding Sales Manager who actively listens and ask questions in order to showcase Destination Geneva National and/or The Ridge Hotel as the location that can and will deliver beautifully on this bride's vision.

A creative multi-tasker with a passion for customer service, you aim to quickly respond to queries, tour prospective clients, negotiate event contracts, and finalize event details by deadline.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**

* Two or more years of wedding management experience required

* Familiarity with hospitality industry preferred

* Experience drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and overall relationship management

* Ability to travel locally and overnight and work nights and weekends

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

*Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:*

* Tour properties with prospects and sell event space for weddings, corporate functions, and social events.

* Review contracts upon turnover from Sales Director and monitor event deposits.

* Enter/update all client and group information into appropriate programs and areas

* Keep Director of Sales informed of any significant program changes

* Plan all details for assigned functions with group contacts and distribute details to all pertinent departments. Work closely with all hotel operations departments to ensure that proper guarantees & arrangements are made to establish & maintain group satisfaction

* Make contact with clients for groups in a timely manner

* Communicate group details in weekly function sheet meetings

**SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS**

*In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.*

* Greet group contacts upon arrival & ensure that all details are handled correctly

* Assist operations team as needed during the execution of assigned events.

* Attend Sales Meeting

* Attend Weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) Meeting

* Update Menus in Delphi
