***JOB PURPOSE:*** To deliver on the mission of Wilco by profitably providing superior customer service.
***JOB SUMMARY:*** Profitably lead and supervise a select portion of a retail store location including: warehouse and stocking operations, inventory control and receiving activities, facility image, personnel.
***Essential Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:***
- Supervise warehouse, stocking, inventory and receiving personnel including staff selection with the Retail Manager, training, mentoring, coaching and performance appraisal development and delivery to employees.
- Assist with location sales and customer service using established retail customer service standards.
- Maintain store facility, backstock, warehouse, yard, and location equipment using established retail image standards.
- Direct location merchandise management including receiving, stocking, warehousing, and selling of product utilizing procedures established by retail store operations.
- Ensure check-in and merchandise receiving complies with established standards.
- Participate in creating work schedules for assigned teams or team members with guidance from Retail Manager.
- Execute annual operating budgets for the store location including sales and margin projections and expense control.
- Ensure responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist position are delivered on.
- Assist with eCommerce fulfillment, staging, and loadout activities as required.
- Operate forklift, delivery truck, tractor (if applicable) as needed.
- Run, monitor, update, review, and act on system reports as assigned.
- Communicate product outages and special customer situations to managers.
***Other Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:***
- Ensure stocking process including the log, OOS scan, and store-wide pick lists are being generated and worked to completion.
- Participate in special project work when requested.
- Ensure that customers are greeted and their needs matched with the relevant person or department.
- Correctly stock merchandise utilizing established stocking and merchandising directives.
- Unload, check-in, stock, assemble and organize warehouse and yard merchandise utilizing established procedures.
- Coordinate retail customer deliveries per established standards.
- Some store and warehouse merchandise assembly maybe required.
- Attend regular and special meetings as required.
- Willingness to attend continuing education courses on leadership, supervision, etc.
- Knowledge, understanding, and training of safety procedures and the casualty investigation process.
***Special Skills/Training***
- Knowledge of management, supervision practices, principles, and regulations.
- Knowledge of industry and support of company core values.
- Skill to operate computer systems and automated office machines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to customers and staff.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Skill to operate a forklift, tractor, and other facility equipment safely and efficiently.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
***Experience/Education***
- 3 years retail experience.
- One year retail supervision experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
***Physical Requirements***
- Regular bag/bale lifting.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
***Working Conditions***
- Indoor/outdoor work.
