Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated physical therapist to join our team, specializing in providing care to individuals with Parkinson's Disease in their homes. Our practice specializes in LSVT BIG and we are willing to train a new hire to be able to provide this service to our clients with PD. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the quality of life for their patients, focusing on personalized care and building strong relationships. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, providing more meaningful interactions and allowing for a flexible schedule to prevent burnout. Sessions are no less than 45 minutes and typically 1 hour long. This position is part time, but with the possibility of increasing to full time as caseload grows.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with Parkinson's Disease.
- Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, balance, and overall function.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing symptoms and maintaining independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, Doctoral Degree is ideal but not required.
- State licensure as a physical therapist in Oklahoma.
- 1-5 years of prior clinical experience as a PT overall.
- Experience working with patients with Parkinson's Disease or other neurological conditions preferred (training and mentorship can be provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
