If you believe you are one of those talented people, and are interested in being considered for a career at **FANUC America**, we invite you to apply *today*!FANUC America Corporation (FAC) is currently searching for a dynamic, go-getter to join the team as a **District/Account Sales Manager** and grow the robotic automation business in **Northern California (San Francisco Bay, Silicon Valley region)**. The territory will require direct sales to end users and managing FAC distribution partners in the territory in all applications areas for standalone units and systems business. Primary responsibilities will include: * Manage all activities within specified accounts including all direct selling efforts to plants and engineering offices to meet or exceed yearly established targets in units, revenue, and gross profit.

* Develop and implement strategic selling plans for accounts. Identify complex sales situations, and manage and direct company resources to win the business.

* Manage FAC integrator/distributor network throughout Northern California. Expand this network to increase sales to end users.

* Develop good relationships with key personnel at all levels of plant, engineering and management within accounts and establish FAC as a sustaining resource.

* Initiate and establish direction and content of quotations by providing complete scope of work from customer. Provide pricing direction, and review quotation prior to submittal. Review proposals with customer for a clear and thorough understanding of the FAC content and competitive advantages, and negotiate to a successful sale maximizing FAC profitability.

* Interface with FAC resources and customer on sold projects to assure complete understanding of deliverable. Participate in kickoff and status meetings to assure smooth project execution and complete customer satisfaction.

* Solicit input and feedback from customers on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FACs competitive advantages and market share.

* Manage company assets through accurate monthly forecast, and support in the collection of overdue payments.

**Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:**

* Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field; Master degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience with selling and/or customer interface, preferably in capital equipment environment.

* Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.

* Working knowledge of robots, robotic applications, automation applications, and manufacturing processes.

* Proven selling and negotiating skills including strong presentations skills utilizing PowerPoint, with the ability to sell to top down through client organizations.

* Excellent interpersonal skills in entertaining, listening, and written and oral communication.

* Excellent management skills to handle large account and to organize and plan for many simultaneous and complex issues.

* Knowledge and established contacts within specified customer base.

* Travel required, including occasional overnight to customer plants, shows, and other events outside of the territory (around 30%).
