The Job

As an Operational Due Diligence Analyst, you are involved in the initial and ongoing operational due diligence of alternative and traditional investment advisors. This position is integral to the success of the client. You are a key resource to Research team members, Consultants and clients on matters related to the operations of investment managers under consideration for recommendation and recommended to Firm clients. If you have auditing, compliance or fund accounting experience, we strongly urge you to apply!


You'll be responsible for:

  • Evaluating qualifications of key non-investment personnel, operational infrastructure, written policies and procedures of investment managers
  • Preparing written summaries of managers' operational capabilities across traditional and alternative investment strategies
  • Identifying and evaluating operational red flags and addressing issues with applicable investment manager personnel
  • Acting as a liaison with outside vendors utilized in the operational due diligence review process
  • Collaborating closely with and being a key resource for Research department peers, Consultants and clients
  • Participating in on-site due diligence meetings and conference calls with senior back-office professionals

We're looking for:

  • One to three years of working experience, ideally in an alternative investment industry
  • Audit, compliance, or fund accounting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience utilizing systems such as Quickbase and DiligenceHub a plus
