Accounts Payable Practitioner I

Gilbane is seeking an Accounts Payable Practitioner I, under close supervision, to be responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices for goods and services. Ensures that invoices are paid in a timely basis. Occasionally may also process employee reimbursement requests. This role will sit primarily in the office.

Reviews and verifies vendor invoices to ensure accuracy
• Enters invoices into financial system
• Ensures prompt payment to vendors and employees

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Learning role with typically has 1-2 years of experience in an Accounting support role and works under close supervision

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Close attention to detail required
• Problem solving skills required
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• CMiC experience a plus
• Knowledge of Construction accounting a plus

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Providence, RI this ranges from $43,200.00 - $59,300.000 plus benefits and retirement program.
