What We're Looking For:

Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating journey in the world of product management and lead Iridium into its growth phase with Direct To Device? Iridium is seeking a motivated Product Management Associate Director to join our Product Management team. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving the development of new products and services, orchestrating strategies for using new technologies, and working with new chipset partners or manufacturing partners to create important, exciting new IoT solutions. Your primary focus will be the product management of Iridium's to-device service, products, and capabilities. You'll be successful in this role if you have the relevant technical knowledge, can think on both tactical and strategic levels, can communicate and persuade at all levels of the organization, and are adept in a matrix-management, virtual/in-person, ever-changing environment.

What You'll Do:

Focus on building the foundations established in Iridium services to create a world-class implementation of Iridium's NTN/NB-IoT.
• Define short- and long-term initiatives to position Iridium as a leader in NB-IoT for industry stakeholders.
• Develop a framework for the evolution of capabilities through internal and external partnerships.
• Own the roadmap for the commercial team at Iridium.
• Serve as the primary point person for new products, services, feature enhancement requests, and defects.
• Develop solutions and major product and service offerings through the full product life cycle.
• Analyze opportunities, establish the business case and model, define requirements, partner on development, identify and evangelize the go-to-market strategy, and maintain the product through and beyond launch.
• Proactively work across all relevant functions to ensure products and services fit into company functionality, processes, and procedures.
• Support products and services as partners and customers adopt them.
• Facilitate the enhancement of capabilities and partner in maintenance activities, including regulatory changes, issues in operation, etc.
• Facilitate the broader ecosystem of direct-to-device opportunities with chipset partners, MNOs, MVBOs, and other value-added partners in the supply and service/solution chain.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• BS/BA/MBA in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Economics
• 12+ years of experience in technical product management
• 5+ years of experience in cellular IoT, messaging and/or 5G networking
• Experience utilizing external partnerships to deliver products to a commercial market
• Proven ability to work with business leaders, engineers, legal and regulatory
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and confidently recognize and adapt to different communication techniques
• Be a strategic thinker who demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness
• Be able to analyze a situation or problem and come up with effective solutions
• Can easily form relationships with executive leadership and encourage cross-functional team building
• The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks according to deadline and budget limitations
• Be proactive in finding new and enhanced ways of doing things and sharing your knowledge with others

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

• International Travel experience is preferred
• Fluency in non-English language

We'll also need you to:

• Be on call
• Be able to travel up to 25%

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
