About this job

Responsibilities:

  • This role manages and serves as "business owner" for components of key digital customer experience projects. This means running point on all cross functional work, ensuring that all details are in place (even if those details are owned by other teams), managing all operational elements, supporting expectation management internally / externally, internal / external communication ownership, and success metrics tracking management and reporting.
  • Lead / manage work streams on strategic projects related to conference digital customer experience, in areas such as:
    • Agenda building
    • Peer networking
    • Personalization
    • Onboarding and loyalty programs
    • Customer journey
  • Participate in sprint reviews, requirements meetings, coordinate with other business stakeholders to offer clear direction to business solutions team
  • Develop and execute plans to understand customer needs, test new concepts and products with target customers, and iterate designs based on feedback
  • Build / maintain relationships with teams across conferences and other business units / functions to understand requirements and end-to-end commercialization needs
  • Lead launch and rollout planning for new products and/or major new features

Day to day responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Competitive and comparative research: Research and conduct assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and potential competitors, comparative technologies and feature sets. This research must be conducted with the context of Gartner's products and what we're working to achieve.
  • Collection and documentation of existing customer journeys.
  • Write PRD's: Write clear and concise in-depth Product Requirement Document (template guidance provided) for feature set as needed (with minimal guidance).
  • Communication ownership: Own all internal meeting invites and agendas regarding assigned projects. Own internal comms with cross functional teams to ensure that all teams are aware of changes, status, and risks identified (including mitigation plans). Document and share meeting notes, decisions made and next steps after each meeting with the meeting attendees.
  • Project management: Demonstrate ownership of assigned projects, and not just wait for tasks to be defined and assigned. Design and communicate efficient project plans to effectively see assigned projects through completion.
  • Lead aspects of product testing and evaluation initiatives regarding digital products as needed.
  • Analytics: Help define and track KPI's (with guidance) and success metrics across all product functionality and help adjust strategy based on learnings.
  • Travel: 6-8 times a year: Travel to cover Conferences with the goal of gaining in-depth knowledge of the business, namely

Background:

  • Experience
    • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience preferred
    • Experience leading strategic projects in management consulting, product team, or corporate / business strategy team
    • Be a self-starter and show passion for the craft of Product Management and Product Strategy.
  • Strategy / Analytics
    • Energized by ambiguity and solving complex problems
    • Strong analytical skills including analyzing / segmenting customer data, defining KPIs
    • Broad functional understanding, preferably in high-growth B2B environments
    • Strong financial acumen and experience building business cases

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 130,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
