MORE ABOUT THE LPN LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Licensed Practical Nurse opportunity include, but are not limited to:

1. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
2. Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
3. Work with critically ill patients who require the use of monitoring devices, measuring heart rates, breathing rates, blood pressure, and oxygen levels
4. Monitor dysrhythmias, interpret results, and administer appropriate treatment
5. Administer continuous medication infusions, including non-titrated vasoactive agents, anti-arrhythmic agents, platelet inhibitors, and insulin
6. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures such as TEE, cardiac catheterization with PCI, cardioversion, bronchoscopy, EGD, PEG placement, and chest tube insertion
7. Set up and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and recognize signs and symptoms of patient instability
8. Recognize indications for and manage patients requiring non-invasive oxygen delivery systems, such as oral airways, BiPAP, and nasal CPAP
9. Monitor and manage patients requiring renal therapeutic interventions, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation, stents, and urostomies

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR LPN LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:

1. 1+ year of recent acute care experience required
2. IV certification required
3. BLS issued through American Heart Association required
4. Must be eligible to work in the United States
5. LPN license in CO
