Payment Administrator

1st Choice is currently seeking a Payment Administrator for our client in Silver Spring, Maryland. The primary responsibility of this role is to handle the collection of parking permits and violation notices.. The Parking Payment Clerk will also be involved in customer service tasks such as answering inquiries, providing information to customers, and assisting with administrative duties related to parking permits. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer systems, ability to work under pressure, punctual and prior experience in complex cashiering and customer service support.

Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Provide the highest level of customer care and quality
• Greet customers as they enter the sales store; answer walk-in inquiries and refer customers to other responsible parties
• Collection of parking violation notice payments
• Collection of payments for Monthly Parking Convenience Stickers and Residential Parking Permits
• End of day reconciliation and deposit of revenue intake and transactions
• Answer telephone inquiries and refer customers to other responsible parties
• Mail renewal letters and permits
• Keying of non-cash transactions

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• 1-2 years of experience in complex cashiering and customer service support

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work well with the public and to view problems from the customer’s perspective
• Technical and organizational skills
• Bilingual a plus but not required

Successful candidate must successfully pass a background and drug screening

Hours of Operations

• Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 4:00pm
