Job Description
We are looking for an Associate Director to supervise a team of staff who provide direct support to children within the Mohawk Valley (kindergarten - 12th graders) at school and in the community so that they succeed in school.
Duties (include but not limited to):
Ø Supervise and Manage staff at various location/schools
Ø Ensure programs and services are carried out with fidelity
Ø Ensure staff complete program and services forms and reports accurately, completely and timely
Ø Help staff create, build and maintain supportive working relationships with school building staff
Ø Submit monthly data reports
Ø Be part of management team to build and oversee agency programs and services
Ø On -board new staff – hire, train and supervise as needed
Ø Participate and create on-going professional development
Ø Create and implement agency presentations
Ø Participate and represent the agency at required community meetings
Ø Be a member of the agency management team
Ø Support the agency management, mission and goals at all times
Ø All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ø Expertise with agency planning, project design and implementation and contract negotiation with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple processes and projects.
Ø Experience in technology applications to include data base development to support program evaluation efforts.
Ø Experience with local, state and federal reporting and requirements.
Ø Working knowledge of public and private human service agencies.
Ø Commitment to a person-centered, family-centered, culturally competent philosophical base.
Ø Commitment to continuous quality improvement and a team oriented collaborative governance model.
Ø Strong and effective writing and presentation skills.
Ø Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ø Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
Required Experience
v Minimum 3-5 years in program management specializing in education and/or human services.
v 5 years in supervisory position.
v B.A. in human services required and M.A. in related field preferred.
v Experience in health, education, substance abuse, juvenile justice, or other related children and family services.
v Experience working with youth and ability to engage youth in services preferred
v Must be able to work independently and be flexible to high paced environment
v Ability to track and input data through agency electronic systems
v Ability and willingness to provide services in the home
v Experience with data collection and analyzing various data points
v Ability to work in excel, one drive, google drive, and other software
v Experience hiring and on-boarding new staff
