Job Summary

Novavax is seeking a talented individual to join our team as the Senior Manager, Market Analytics to lead the development, maintenance and execution of program and campaign measurement, analysis, and reporting. The Senior Manager, Market Analytics is primarily responsible for measuring and monitoring the overall performance and key initiatives, including marketing performance and ongoing initiatives. This position will proactively identify trends and business opportunities by bringing global research insights to the business through detailed data and market research which will allow for informed brand strategy. Also, this role will provide standardized reporting, analysis, performance metrics and measurement in support of Novavax's initiatives. This role entails outstanding business to technical translation, structured yet creative thinking, cross-functional collaboration, hands on advanced analytical methods.This person will report to the Senior Director, Marketing Analytics and Forecasting.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with commercial functions to recommend and provide analytical and market insights information needed for strategic brand planning.
  • Support both US and Global (one brand).
  • Responsible for KPI prioritization and development as well as tracking and reporting to the commercial organization.
  • Work with other internal analytical functions such as data analytics and forecasting to guide the work based on customer and market insights.
  • Responsible for Competitive Intelligence tracking and for the evolution of the competitive intelligence program internally.
  • Responsible for conducting primary market research with consumers and health care professionals.
  • Proactively provide strategic thought partnership to key internal functions about health care professionals, patients, and payers.
    • Partner with Novavax's leaders to support their efforts through strategic analysis.
    • Develop and present analytical recommendations and actionable insights to disseminate findings and successful practices to key stakeholders and senior management.
    • Explain complex analytics to a broad audience with varying levels of technical background and understanding.
    • Consult by understanding internal research and information needs and meeting those needs.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of business priorities by developing specific research goals and plans and prioritize to meet organizational goals.
    • Determine priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.
    • Communicate concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.



Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals (preferably 2+ years in vaccines), including at least 6+ years in a commercial or business analytics capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree required with an MBA or an advanced degree in relevant discipline like Stats, Math, Psychology, Engineering/Computer Science or Economics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in primary research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative and ability to identify the best market research approach and execute across a broad spectrum of market research methodologies.
  • Mastery of pharmaceutical industry data sources such as prescription, claims, distribution data sources (Symphony and/or IQVIA Health) necessary.
  • At least 1-2 years of pharmaceutical competitive intelligence experience.
  • Demonstrated project management proficiency including proven ability to run multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute individually and in team settings.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Strong collaborator and team player.
  • Ability to extract insight across data and research to guide commercial strategy.
