Network Engineer I

WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE!A Maritz Network Engineer is responsible for designing, researching, building and testing computer networks within the organization and ensuring that they are working properly. Complete timely work maintaining network operations and supporting enterprise projects of moderate to difficult complexity. Apply a broad knowledge of networking concepts to meet organizational priorities.

Location: Fenton, MO (Hybrid, this is not a virtual role)

Primary Responsibilities

40% Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of network devices including the restoration of hardware and software. Works with end users, vendors and clients to resolve network hardware and software issues. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

20% Review and understand network engineering design, develops documentation, and contributes to the deployment of Maritz LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, firewalls, load balancers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware or software solutions.

20% Collaborates with Security Operations Center to mitigate potential attacks through network connections and to ensure the overall security of the enterprise network.

20% Act as a key network resource for ongoing projects to modernize and secure Maritz technology solutions, possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide mentoring and feedback to Network Operations Center personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. CCNA preferred.
• 2-4 Years of Network Engineering experience including but not limited to Datacenter Route/Switch Technology - (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Protocols)
• Experience with Next Generation Firewalls & DMZ Architectures - (Fortinet, Palo Alto or Checkpoint)
• Experience with WIFI Network Design & Deployment - (Cisco or Aruba) and VPN Site to Site / End User VPN - (Fortinet, F5 or NetScaler)
• Experience with Cloud Connectivity & Virtual Networking - (AWS, OCI, GCP)
• Experience with Deployment & Management of Network Access Control Solutions (Aruba Clearpass or Cisco ISE)
• Ability to Manage Multiple Ongoing Efforts, 24x7 On-Call Rotation with Team Members
• Proven ability to communicate & document solutions, technical expertise as well as strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
