 The Occupational Therapist 2 evaluates patients and helps them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities.

The Occupational Therapist 2 teaches patients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments to compensate for permanent loss of function. Assist the physician with the initial evaluation of patient to assess needs for service and to establish realistic goals. Administer treatment program prescribed by physician. Provide training in proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment. Instruct other members of the health care team in maintaining therapeutic, creative and self-care activities. Provides appropriate documentation of services in keeping with Agency policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allies Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state which you seek employment
  • Minimum of one-year current experience within health care community.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Driver's License, car insurance and access to an automobile
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
