Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Accounting Specialist will be involved in a wide range of accounting and administrative functions including routine accounting transactions, daily production/inventory reporting and analysis, bank reconciliations and other month-end tasks related to general ledger and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process weekly disbursements, including invoices for payment
- Generate and reconcile reports, including bank and credit card statements
- Monitor daily receipts and post to customer accounts
- Prepare required detail schedules
- Generate and post journal entries and verify G/L account balances in ERP system
- Generate and assist with distribution of monthly financials including reporting process.
- Analyze data for accuracy
- Prepare daily production reporting and record appropriate entries in ERP system
- Monitor inventory and variance accounts
- Track fixed assets and record monthly depreciation
- Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents and receipts
- Prepare and file quarterly sales and use tax reports
- Cross train in other administrative positions to fill in as needed (front desk reception and customer service)

- Technology Proficiency – Ability to demonstrate skills using ERP systems, Report Writing tools and Microsoft Office applications

Requirements:
- Prefer an associate degree in business or accounting or 2 years related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Occasional bending, and fine manipulation skills using hands, shoulders, and back
- Ability to make precise, coordinated movements with the body to grab, manipulate or move products/objects
PPE/Safety:
- Required in production areas: Safety glasses, hair/beard nets, and hearing protection
