Microsoft IT/Database Administrator - Full-time

Description

The Engineering, Integration and Operations business area of Leidos has an opening for a Microsoft IT/Database Administrator. Working QATAR, the individual in this role must be qualified to install, support, and maintain server operating systems or other computer systems along with the relevant software applications. This includes ensuring the implementation of current defensive mechanisms like IAVA Patches and responding to service outages and interruptions to network operations. They are responsible for administering server-based networked systems, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and application monitoring essential for provisioning, sustaining, operating, and integrating cyber-networked systems and applications.

Core competencies for this position encompass server operating systems, database administration, web technologies, systems-related project management, and providing helpdesk support for computer operators. The individual supports the identification, reconnaissance, and remediation of vulnerabilities while enhancing capabilities within cyber environments to achieve desired effects.

Their responsibilities also involve utilizing enterprise patching tools to implement security updates and patches, including Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVA), C4 Notice to Airman (C4 NOTAM), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO), Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO), operating system patches, and antivirus software. They implement and enforce national, DoD, and Air Force security policies and directives, performing proactive security functions to deter, detect, isolate, contain, and recover from information system and network security intrusions.

Responsible for maintaining systems are such as NARAS, Battlespace Command and Control Center Theater (BC3-T) Operation Center, Joint Range Extension (JRE), ADSI, Tactical Display Framework (TDF), Digicomp systems, EPLRS, MIDS terminal, KIV-7, KG-40, TACLANE, KY-100, KIV-19A, LMS, SAS, DTS-K, RARITAN KVM, Blue Force Tracker, ADS-B, KSV-21, AN/VRC 103, KG-175D, and other C2 Systems\Associated Support Equipment, and C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support.

Basic Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience on database/system administration and IA technology or related area.

Certifications Required:

8570 Certification: IAT Level II

Other: VMWARE VCP Data Center Virtualization; Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) for Windows 10 or Server 2016

Preferred Qualifications

CCNA certification
