Our client  is seeking a Director of Development in Fundraising  to join their team. The development manager will execute strategic fundraising initiatives and program development efforts aimed at securing individual philanthropic support for mission-driven programming. This role offers a chance for a fundraiser to collaborate with a dynamic and motivated team, where each individual's contributions have a tangible impact daily. It provides an opportunity to serve a community of specialized healthcare professionals who are dedicated to supporting and honoring their profession.
 
Job Title: Director of Development /Fundraising 
Location: Chicago IL- Hybrid role, in the office on Tuesday and Thursdays
Pay Range: $90,000 to 110,000 depending upon experince 


What’s the Job?
  • Working with our Board of Trustees, our Fundraising Committee, and our Assistant Executive Director, determine the goals and direction of annual fundraising campaign including the executive and board resources required for success.
  • Articulate and maintain case for support to cultivate and steward prospects and donors, drawing parallels between support and programming.
  • Coordinate annual, major, and planned giving, including the communications between prospects and the Foundation.
  • Cultivate and solicit donations, meeting goals annually.
  • Lead major gift prospect identification, qualification and rating to develop, assess and expand the major fit prospect pool.
  • Provide support to and collaborate with the Executive Director,, and Trustees of the Board in cultivating new prospects.
  • Design and implement creative strategies for building individual philanthropic support, including multi-year gift opportunities for a wide range of Foundation priorities.
  • Improve upon and execute effective donor stewardship program.
  • Research other revenue streams, including funders for potential grants.
 
What’s Needed?
  •  
  • Collaborative, creative, open to new ideas, collegial personality; get stuff done mentality.
  • Experience building relationships with small, medium, and large donors; understand when to push forward and when to pull back.
  • Ability to use the mission of the organization to engage donors.
  • Experience using databases and CRM systems as tools to organize and manage communications, appointments, and opportunities in the fundraising pipeline.
  • 3-5 years of fundraising/development experience.
