About this job

PDQ, founded in Salt Lake City, UT, makes device management simple, secure, and Pretty Damn Quick. IT teams use our products to reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and enhance control in their unique environments. We are backed by TA Associates and Berkshire Partners, top-tier global PE companies. SimpleMDM and SmartDeploy are powered by PDQ.

PDQ's Mission: We make device management simple, secure and pretty damn quick.

PDQ's Core Values: Honesty, Ownership, Collaboration and Improvement

As the Sales Operations Manager at PDQ, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing our sales and account management operations to support our Product-Led Growth strategy. This role is not just about managing sales and account management processes and compensation; it's about deeply understanding the customer journey from initial trial or demo request through to conversion and long-term retention. In close collaboration with Marketing Operations, you will analyze the sales funnel to identify critical drop-off points and work on strategic interventions to improve conversion rates and customer retention. Your role involves a blend of strategic planning, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that sales strategies are not only aligned with our business goals but are also continuously refined based on insights derived from our marketing and sales data.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to work seamlessly with Sales, Business Systems, Analytics, Marketing, and Marketing Operations to create a cohesive strategy that bridges the gap between systems, data, marketing, and sales, leading to improved funnel efficiency, higher conversion rates, and enhanced customer loyalty.

What your day might look like:
    • Collaborate with Sales, Business Systems, Analytics, Marketing, and Marketing Operations teams to refine the sales and account management funnels, systems, and reporting. This collaboration ensures strategic alignment across departments, optimizing funnel efficiency and unifying revenue-generating efforts.
    • Utilize a combination of data analytics and intuition to enhance decision-making and balance when scrappy solutions are needed versus when to develop and execute scalable strategies for sales and account management. This involves testing and implementing data-driven tactics to boost conversion rates and customer retention, optimizing for both speed and long-term efficiency.
    • Collaborate to refine the CRM (Salesforce), streamlining sales and account management workflows, reporting, lead management, and customer onboarding processes to boost efficiency. In parallel, work with the Business Systems team to assess and enhance the sales technology stack, ensuring seamless integration with other business systems and tools to increase sales productivity.
    • Work closely with Sales/Account Management leadership and Finance to design, implement, and manage sales and account manager compensation plans that motivate the teams and align with PDQ's business goals.
    • Serve as a key thought partner for Sales and Account Management leadership, actively participating in the strategic planning process to ensure that sales strategies are aligned with company objectives and adapt to market dynamics.
    • Focus on collaboration by establishing consistent feedback loops between the Sales team, Account Management, and Revenue Operations. This role is crucial for effectively prioritizing initiatives, especially when resources are limited, ensuring that alignment with Revenue Operations is maintained to optimize strategic outcomes.
    • Demonstrate exceptional project management skills by effectively gathering business requirements, making the development and testing of new solutions seamless. As a keen project manager, coordinate cross-functional efforts with ease, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, and meet the strategic needs of PDQ.

Who you are:
    • You bring a proven track record in sales operations, ideally within a PLG environment, with a clear understanding of how to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies that impact the bottom line.
    • Your expertise in data analytics (especially SQL, PowerBI, and Salesforce) allows you to derive actionable insights from both quantitative and qualitative data, helping to improve lead flow, conversions, and overall sales performance.
    • With hands-on experience in managing diverse technological stacks, you're skilled in collaborating to optimize CRMs and analytics tools to support revenue growth.
    • You excel in working and communicating across various teams, bridging gaps between Marketing, Sales, Account Managment, and Business Systems to ensure alignment and cohesiveness in revenue-generating efforts.
    • Your strong project management and organizational skills enable you to manage complex projects, from gathering business requirements to implementing new solutions, ensuring efficiency and strategic alignment.

We're looking for people who:
    • Embody Team Spirit: You are a dedicated team player who believes in the power of collaboration to achieve common goals, especially when it comes to optimizing the sales funnel and enhancing customer journeys.
    • Make Decisive Moves: With the ability to exercise strong judgment, you're adept at making strategic decisions and pivoting quickly in response to changing market dynamics, always with an eye on maximizing funnel output.
    • Stay Composed: Your ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet makes you an invaluable asset, especially in high-stakes situations requiring quick, data-informed decisions.
    • Prioritize Precision: You're known for your attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality, ensuring data integrity and trust in every aspect of your work.
    • Pursue Growth: Your desire for continuous learning and improvement drives you to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, making you a constant source of innovation and strategic insight.
    • Lead with Integrity: Honesty, discretion, and dependability are at the core of your professional ethos, guiding your interactions and decisions to foster trust and reliability in every project you undertake.

Do you think you have what it takes but don't necessarily meet all the requirements? Apply anyway - you could be exactly who we are looking for!
