As a key member of the Xigent/FillPro Business Development Team, the Market Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for utilizing available tools and resources to identify, validate, and initiate contact with potential custom automation clients leading to introductory presentations and/or site visits for members of the business development team. The MDM will also track and report on relevant industry and performance metrics to help guide strategic planning efforts and CI activities.  Additionally, the MDM will be responsible for executing various marketing campaigns and generating materials to promote the Xigent/FillPro brands.

 

Key Marketing Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize the primary manufacturing database tool to identify potential opportunities connected to annual business objectives such as geographical focus, market entry opportunities, existing market growth opportunities, and product parity opportunities.
  2. Generate an executable (qualified) pipeline by applying a multi-channel approach to current and prospective customers using common business development messaging techniques - emails, LinkedIn, direct mail, texting, in-person, virtual meetings, phone calls, etc.
  3. Strengthen supplier-partner relationships through regular outreach to marketing and business development counterparts in order to help generate future business prospects (utilizing vendor owned resources) while maintaining current relationships.

 

General Marketing Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a product-level breakdown of XAS/FillPro automation experience.
  2. Maintain a market-level breakdown of XAS/FillPro automation experience.
  3. Maintain the customer database including updating all current contact information and relevant business information.
  4. Develop and maintain an active competitor database.
  5. Develop, validate, and maintain resources (A3, etc.) to report on relevant industry trends.
  6. Tracking and reporting on business development KPI’s to assist leadership with performance data, CI opportunities, and business review meetings.
  7. Work with Business Development Team to evaluate and improve sales strategies.
  8. Conduct social media activities to increase sales outreach and exposure.
  9. Conduct email campaigns to promote the Xigent/FillPro brands.
  10. Maintain and improve the Xigent/FillPro website and social media accounts – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
  11. Work with Regional Sales Managers to create, organize, and maintain sales related presentation materials – company presentations, promotional materials, and others.
  12. Work with the Technical Writer to create, organize, and distribute sales and marketing related materials – machine videos, case studies, and other promotional material.
  13. Contact and work with customers and suppliers to receive permission for use of proprietary information in marketing materials as well as possible reference/endorsement campaigns.
  14. Work with Business Development Team in preparing for, creating material for, and attending industry trade shows.
  15. Recommend marketing opportunities/events aligned with annual objectives.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all company policies & procedures.
  2. Be open to potential changes in responsibilities and tasks as the Market Development Manager position is refined and improved.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

-          2yr. degree in marketing/business, or 5-7yrs. experience in a similar role

-          Proficiency with MS Excel and the standard office suite

-          Working knowledge of social media platforms & website maintenance

-          Familiarity with a technical manufacturing environment

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

-          4yr. degree in Marketing/Business and 1-3yrs. experience in a similar role

-          Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint (including sales presentation development)

-          Prior experience with business analytics

-          Experience with CRM’s and managing social media platforms

-          Experience participating in and attending trade-show activities

-          Experience with Graphic Design software (Adobe, Canva, etc.)

-          Experience managing an organizations website (Squarespace, etc.)
