Summary:

The role of Permit Runner will focus heavily on working with the jurisdictions on plan checks and permit issuance. This position will require the individual to spend most of their time driving the company vehicle to and from local jurisdictions submitting and retrieving permits. The ideal candidate is versatile, adaptive, has strong customer relation skills, and is highly attentive to details. We are looking for a dependable person who will maintain a high level of business ethics, professionalism, and excellent communication between co-workers, customers, and management. This position facilitates an opportunity to learn about permitting.

Responsibilities:

  • Upload information through a tablet and/or mobile device.
  • Attending scheduled plan checks, communicating any rising issues with Project Manager and upper management.
  • Assist Project Managers with project requirements and submittals perform due diligence and create checklist prepare submittal packages.
  • Communicate with Project Managers projects’ progress.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and interaction with city officials.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills.

Education and/ or Experience:

  • Trade, High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to organize and maintain paper documents, electronic photos, and files.
  • Desire to interact with co-workers and participate.
  • Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills along with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Teams.
  • Standard computer skills, save/upload/download files and photos and communicate via text or application.
  • Experience in Salesforce and/or Asana platform.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Customer Service

  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high-volume production environment.
  • Maintains the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude either verbally or written communication.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position involves a dynamic and active setting within the permit industry.It encompasses a combination of office-based responsibilities and being on the field, necessitating a versatile approach. The individual will be exposed to various municipality offices across LA area, requiring adaptability to different conditions and environments. In the office, the employee will engage in tasks related to plan review, report generation, and communication with stakeholders.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee will be driving extensively in the Los Angeles area, navigating through heavy traffic conditions, loading and unloading materials from the company car, walking and standing during agency visits.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..

Compensation:

Milrose Consultants, LLC is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by several factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.

Annual Salary Range $53,000.00-$58,000.00 USD

Travel
Traveling to multiple municipal agency as required for this position. Associate may be required to attend meetings at the discretion of management and/or if it is project related.
