Overview

The Personal Banker provides extraordinary service to the Bank's clients. This position requires a high level of accuracy to comply with regulatory requirements and minimize risk.


Responsibilities

  • Perform personal banking transactions for clients, such as deposits, withdrawals and transfers.
  • Possess a clear understanding of features and benefits of the Bank's products and services in order to effectively cross-sell or make internal referrals as appropriate.
  • Provide service to clients, which may include but is not limited to responding to rate inquiries, processing telephone transfers, opening and closing accounts for new and existing clients, placing stop payments, documenting address changes and other client service related activities.
  • Complete account maintenance for clients, such as address changes, debit cards, title changes, and research requests and make copies of checks or statements.
  • Answer client questions or concerns in a friendly and helpful manner; research issues, and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Deliver services accurately and on time.
  • Daily balancing of cash drawer.
  • Provide backup support to Relationship Bankers by verifying system account information with source documentation.
  • Scan new account documents on imaging system.
  • Verify, scan and link new account documents on imaging system.
  • Answer main phone as needed.
  • Meet or exceed all goals and targets for referrals to all business units.
  • Communicate effectively with Manager, especially if issues or concerns arise with ability to meet deadlines or provide appropriate coverage.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and Relationship Banking team in a highly professional manner.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable on-site attendance.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of personal and private banking deposit product and processes, as well as banking rules and regulations.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within retail banking services, preferably in a commercial bank.
  • Knowledge and experience with bank processing software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers, and scanners as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Days and hours of work are M-F, typically an 8 hour shift between 7:30am-5:30pm. The position will rotate between opening and closing.
