Description

After nearly a century of shaping New England communities and helping private companies, you'd think that Fuss & O'Neill would be satisfied with being established. But we're not. We're always looking to evolve. Design is never static, so why should we be? We're using the latest tech, we've prioritized work-life balance, and we're constantly taking on new types of projects. If working for a company that creates positive changes in your community, that empowers and implements employee ideas, and that celebrates collaboration, diversity, and ethical choices sounds like something that interests you, then you've come to the right place!

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an Environmental & Facility Services Business Line Manager to join the team in our central region (Massachusetts and Rhode Island). The Environmental and Facility Service Business Line helps clients maintain regulatory compliance, improves systems and infrastructure, transforms brownfields sites, investigates emerging contaminates and remediation strategies, and implements long-lasting solutions that benefit our clients and the environment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and growing our environmental and facilities services business line. You will oversee a team of professionals, develop strategic plans, and drive business development efforts to expand our market presence and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your experience and networks to identify key clients and sales prospects throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island; and then work with all stakeholders to bring those prospects to fruition as projects.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the environmental business and expand market reach.
  • Identify new environmental business opportunities and cultivate relationships with municipal and industrial clients to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of environmental projects and services.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform business strategies and service offerings.
  • Recommend key hires and participate in the hiring process in the market; actively engage in staff development assessments and make recommendations for environmental training and/or additional development activities
  • Build and maintain trust-based advisory relationships with key buying influences and ensure that Regional representatives are engaged positively in those relationships
  • Work cooperatively with Regional and Office Managers to ensure that priority environmental opportunities and projects are appropriately planned and staffed
  • Work closely and cooperatively with Office and Regional Managers and the firm's Director of Marketing and Business Development to ensure adequate firm representation and participation in significant external client, professional and/or industry events
  • Act as Project Manager on certain high-profile and/or complex environmental projects

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or equivalent
  • Typically requires at least 15 years of experience in the environmental field
  • Environmental Professional license (PE, LSP, PG) is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building and fostering strong client relationships in New England with focus on Rhode Island and Massachusetts
  • Proven experience working with clients ranging from industry/manufacturing, municipal/state, and utility.
