As the Director of Consumer Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications plans to support corporate objectives. In this role, you will guide and collaborate with the marketing team and agency partners, focusing on consumer and very small business customer segments. Working in partnership with other business leads, you will drive both growth and base management programs.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, tailored to the telecommunications industry, supporting e-commerce, direct sellers, digital channel partners, and call center sales to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maximize their potential and foster a high-performance culture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and finance, to align marketing initiatives with growth initiatives and overall business goals. Manage and develop relationships with outside vendors and partners.
  • Demand Generation: Partner with the Growth Program Manager to develop and implement marketing programs enhancing the visibility of our fiber internet services, generating leads, and driving customer acquisition.
  • Base Management: Partner with the Base Management Program Manager to build strategies and manage marketing programs that improve customer experience, build loyalty and reduce churn.
  • Branding, Positioning & Messaging: Develop product and brand positioning, ensuring messaging differentiates the products and brands in the market. Collaborate with the broader marketing team and corporate communications for consistent brand messaging and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Product Launch & Enhancements, Promotions: Plan the marketing launch of new products, upgrades and pricing changes. Manage the cross-functional implementation with internal and agency partners.
  • Media Strategy, Planning and Budget Oversight: Oversee media planning, execution and results across traditional, digital and direct marketing channels. Monitor KPIs, provide performance reports, insights and recommendations for improvement. Manage advertising spend to budget, with a focus on attaining Cost Per Gross Add goals.
  • Creative Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute creative strategies that align with overall marketing objectives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across various platforms and tactics (mail, door hangers, TV ads, radio ads, print ads, digital ads, email, out-of-home ads and signage, fleet graphics, bill messages and inserts, collateral, giveaways, sponsorship assets, corporate presentations, etc).
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Manage advertising campaign strategy, design, production and distribution of promotional and related materials to reach company targeted sales goals.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with call center, DSR, MDU and indirect channel sales teams to align efforts and support attainment of overall sales targets. Provide marketing support and resources to drive sales and awareness.
  • KPI Management & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, provide regular reports to senior leadership, and recommend improvements to optimize ROI.
  • Industry and Trade Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging marketing tools, strategies, and technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations and ensure compliance in all activities. Monitor and interpret cultural and social trends relevant to the brand and business.
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Collaborate with external vendors and creative agencies as needed, managing relationships to ensure the timely and effective delivery of creative services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of related work experience; advertising agency experience preferred.
  • Experience managing a team of creative and marketing professionals, as well as vendors.
  • Broad knowledge and proven experience driving results in direct, digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent project management skills and effective communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative strategies and overcome marketing challenges.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, with a strategic mindset.
  • Occasional travel required

Salary

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $89,528 - $135,571
