DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Laborers work in state and federal buildings and surrounding grounds at Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County. You will perform general work including grass cutting, digging and cleaning out drainage ditches, assisting maintenance staff with manual labor tasks, and loading and unloading various items. This is a temporary position from April 15th to September 27th.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time, temporary employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • No previous experience or training required.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Willingness and ability to work in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania
  • Willingness to work a temporary job
  • Experience working in adverse weather conditions
  • Experience performing laboring work, including the use of tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance
  • Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools, including outdoor landscaping tools
  • Experience arranging furniture and spackling, painting, or otherwise repairing drywall
  • Experience lifting, carrying, or moving heavy items with or without assistance
  • Active Class C Driver's License
