Position Highlights:

• Student Loan Repayment: This position is eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary

• Verifies physicians orders, performs patient assessments and establishes treatment schedule and goals.
• Makes recommendations to patient’s physician regarding their therapy.
• Assists with discharge planning and education of patients, families and other professionals.
• Documents appropriate data (patient assessments, therapy performed, patient responses, educational and discharge instructions.)
• Utilizes necessary documentation tool, i.e., log sheets, treatment cards, and computer logs to verify and record required information.
• Maintains effective communication with patients, families and other professionals to promote team effort.

Education and/or Experience

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issues by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of SD.

Certification

• Current BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS certifications.

Hours

• 9:00pm to 6:00am, 4 nights a week, occasional weekend, holiday, call time; 72 hours every 2 weeks. 

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
