Inova's Loudon Hospital is looking for a *PRN* *Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer *to join our team supporting our Maternal Fetal Medicine group in our Antenatal Testing Center in Leesburg VA. This role is PRN - and will work as needed Monday-Friday Days.

*Responsibilities:*
* Provides clinical services according to specialized maternal fetal ultrasound practice standards to detect fetal anomalies and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions.
* Communicates effectively with patients/families to answer any questions and to obtain clinical maternal fetal history/informed consent from patient to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination.
* Assist the physicians in performing TEE, Amniocentesis, and AV optimization studies demonstrating knowledge of proper sterile techniques and isolation precautions as they pertain to the various specialty procedures.
* Demonstrates the ability to use proper care and aseptic cleaning techniques on all equipment, probes and solution to include daily testing.
* Operates imaging equipment, performs routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images and troubleshoots equipment reporting to equipment to biomedical engineering/vendor as needed.

*Requirements:*
* *Experience:* Three years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in the performance of specialized maternal fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
* *Education:* Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic sonography with a specialty or five plus years on the-job training performing specialized sonograms
* *Certification:* ARDMS Registration, BLS and NT Certification
* *Location:* Inova Loudoun Antenatal Testing Center, 44055 Riverside Pkwy #1, Leesburg, VA
