Primary Purpose

This position supports "Essex, a Veridix AI company". Essex is a biomedical informatics and health information technology-focused consultancy founded in 2009 and headquartered in Rockville, MD. The Essex team comprises experts with extensive experience in strategically developing and managing complex health and biomedical information programs for clients in the Federal Government, research academia, and private sectors.

The Project Coordinator provides support for several senior leaders in a federal technology environment focused on clinical informatics and software development.


Responsibilities

  • 1. Manage schedules and calendars for senior client agency leadership; responsible for reviewing and prioritizing meetings based on an understanding of organizational and staff priorities.
    • Organize, prioritize and schedule meetings in a methodical manner.
    • Leverage polling tools and surveys to confirm availability across numerous attendees.
  • Manage the acquisition and/or development of agendas and meeting materials, document and file meeting minutes, and maintain files and records as requested.
  • Responsible for tracking of incoming requests and action items from initial request to completion.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience planning, prioritizing and scheduling complex meeting requests and stakeholder calendars.

  • Ability to multi-task, understand tasks and prioritize across requests.

  • Moderate to advanced skill level using MS Teams, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated history of working both as a collaborative team member as well as independently and taking initiative to accomplish tasks.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience is required, with at least 1 year providing Director-level (or above) support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom and/or other virtual conference tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft content management and document sharing tools (e.g. Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams is required.
  • Basic understanding of cancer and/or data management terminology is desirable.
  • Work for this position must be performed in the United States (required). Candidates local to Rockville, MD are preferred.

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Public Trust positions. Visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Successful applicants will be required to travel to an NIH-designated facility for security badging within 60 days of hire. Expenses will be reimbursed.
