Medical Transportation Service Driver

POSITION SUMMARY: Safely transport individuals to/from GSHCS affiliated appointments; knowledgeable about transporting handicap individuals; maintain records of the numbers/types of passengers, miles driven, gas purchased, etc.; vehicle checks; assist with vehicle maintenance; collect/turn in donations; assist passengers as needed; schedules appointments as needed, and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School graduate or Equivalent. CERTIFICATION: CPR LICENSE: Valid Oregon Drivers license required. Must have an acceptable driving record with no infractions within the last five years. EXPERIENCE: One to five years of previous work experience desired, with previous hospital experience preferred. Must relate well with all publics. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Must have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service. Requires positive interpersonal/human relations skills, strong verbal skills, and the knowledge and ability to relate positively to various publics. Familiarity with health care and issues relevant to health care. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good general health. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and occasionally lift 35 pounds or more. Manual dexterity and mobility required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Rotating between Internal, well-lighted, ventilated work area and outside operation of transport van.
