Senior Staff Accountant

The Sr. Staff Accountant position is a professional role that is responsible for the preparation, reconciliation and reporting of various financial statement information. The Senior Accountant position will serve an integral role on the team by preparing necessary journal entries and ensuring appropriate accounting is being performed on their designated accounts and entities. This role will also be an active participate in the preparation of workpapers and documentation needed for the completion of the annual financial statement audit.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with corporate team to provide financial reports to senior-level managers
• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to management team
• Perform ad-hoc projects, tasks, and analysis to help support decisions, resolve issues, or support various business needs
• Support in managing client accounts and payment schedules
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end

​Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4-6 years of previous experience in accounting or other related fields
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (SAP Business One)
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Effective oral and written communication
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
