Summary/Objective

The Branch Manager will direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales or productivity goals.

  • Pool industry experience required.
  • Oversee staff and fulfill staffing needs for regular hours and peak times.
  • Maintain communication and motivate a positive sales team.
  • Confirm daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly.
  • Complete “End of the Month Check List” and submit it to the general manager and regional manager by the 30th of each month.
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate sales, marketing, and budgeting.
  • Develop, oversee, and maximize retail budget and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
  • Ensure inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
  • Collaborate with general manager and regional manager to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.
  • Use company software to research, analyze, and track purchases.
  • Ensure that the store always looks clean and inviting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Interview, selectively hire, and train staff for the branch.
  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the branch.
  • Provide recommendations for promotion and salary adjustment as appropriate.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree and equivalent industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • At least three years of experience highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer. Must be able to lift-up-to 75 pounds at times.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be flexible to work additional hours on evenings, weekends, and Saturdays during peak season.
