PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides comprehensive and appropriate dental care and treatment to individuals and families of Molokai with respect and aloha. The Dentist is responsible for recommending and implementing dental policies and procedures, oral health education to patients; ensuring continuous quality improvement in dental care. Dentist will provide supervision to Dental Hygienist(s) as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- DDS or DMD Degree from an accredited school of Dentistry
- General Practice and or Pediatric Dentist, preferred
- Current license to practice dental in the State of Hawaii
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate
- Current Hawaii State Controlled Substance Registration
- NPI Registry
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
- At least one year of experience in the practice of dentistry beyond dental school
- Past supervision experience a plus
- Previous community dental clinic experience preferred; mission-focused
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System (Practice Management Software)
