We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a Program Analyst to coordinate multidimensional operational needs for the USAID GeoCenter on-site in Washington D.C. The Program Analyst will provide strategic communications and public engagement support. The Program Analyst will collaborate with team leadership to develop and execute comprehensive internal and external communication strategies, including top-line messaging and communications campaigns. He/She will create and maintain linkages with key networks, package program information, and results for a variety of audiences, identify creative communications channels to develop actionable content and create engagement and storytelling opportunities to highlight team activities internally and externally. The candidate will provide general and strategic communications, press, legislative affairs, outreach, social media, and event support to the GeoCenter, performing both complex and analytical duties to advance priorities in connection with overarching agency priorities. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a Program Analyst which include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the GeoCenter communications and outreach strategy, including top-line messaging, engagement strategies and plans, marketing materials, and communication tools in coordination with the hub, bureau, and the agency.
  • Effectively coordinate communications across the GeoCetner and engage with communicators across the bureau and USAID to develop and implement internal communications processes and facilitate strategic communications and outreach.
  • Write, edit, and oversee the production and dissemination of strategic communication materials, including but not limited to online feature stories, blog posts, case studies, fact sheets, talking points, speeches, presentations, social media content, and video scripts.
  • Review communications materials for the GeoCenter and priority programming to ensure consistency with agency messaging, policy, and procedures.

The following arerequirementsof the Program Analyst:

  • US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
  • 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and implement communication and engagement strategies and approaches across large, complex organizations.
  • Understanding of USAID’s mission, programs, and countries of operation.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to multitask well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve and a passion for impact.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team composed of Geographers, Remote Sensing Specialists, Developers, and Data Scientists.
  • Must have extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities utilizing Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
