PART TIME PICKLEBALL ATTENDANT

DESCRIPTION

USTA Mid-Atlantic is seeking part-time Pickleball Attendants who will be responsible for creating a warm and inviting environment for our customers and guests at Village Pickle at Village at Leesburg in Leesburg, VA. This position reports directly to the General Manager. The primary role of this position is to provide outstanding customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth operation of our front desk and ensure our customers' experience is one where they will want to come back again and again.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer Service: Greet and assist players and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Handle inquiries and provide information about our services/products.
• Appointment Scheduling: Manage and schedule court & lesson booking appointments for customers using our scheduling system. Confirm and reschedule appointments as needed.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining customer records. Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
• Handling Payment: Handle credit card transactions, ensuring that all payments are processed accurately and securely.
• Safety and Security: Monitor and maintain the security of the front desk area. Ensure the safety of players, guests, and staff by following safety protocols.
• Sales Support: Promote and upsell services/products when appropriate, driving revenue growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be able to professionally handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. 
• Physical Requirements of the Job: Spends frequent time making repetitive motions; spends frequent time sitting, standing, walking, talking; spends frequent time using your hands to handle, reach, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Lifting up to 25lbs with or without assistance. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
• Environmental Conditions: Occasionally exposed to weather conditions such as rain, hot, and cold temperatures. Exposed to moderate to loud noises when working outside or inside.

PICKLEBALL ATTENDANT FAQs

• Who will the Pickleball Attendant be working with? The Pickleball Attendant will be reporting to the General Manager of Village Pickle. This position will work closely with other members of the Village Pickle management and staff.
• Where will I be working? The pickleball club will be located in Leesburg, VA. This position will work onsite, but occasionally may need to attend meetings and/or training at other locations. 

• What does the hiring process consist of?  
  • The first step is to apply!
  • Virtual Interviews via Google Meet will be scheduled with the HR Department. Phone interviews are typically 30 minutes.
  • Second Interviews may be scheduled with the Pickleball General Manager.
  • Offer New hire paperwork and background check instructions will be sent electronically.

• How much does this position pay? How many hours is considered PT?  This position is non-exempt and paid between $13.00 to $17.50 per hour. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Part-time employees must work a minimum of 15 hours per week not to exceed 28 hours per week.
