Overview

The Training Coordinator designs, develops, administers, manages, coordinates, facilitates and implements training programs and initiatives for Inotiv. This position is responsible for both non-regulatory and regulatory training programs.

Responsibilities
    Schedules and coordinates all classroom training with Managers and Supervisors-schedules location, date/time, materials and attendance
  • Collects, compiles and reports results of evaluation, attendance and training data as needed
  • Communicates data and reports as needed
  • Develop and maintain Training Files of all staff members
  • Coordinate implement and maintain regulatory training program which must meet state and federal requirements, including AAALAC, IACUC USDA
  • Coordinate development of various training curriculum and programs
  • Coordinate with the corporate Learning and Development Team
  • Coordinate training programs and other learning services to meet needs of Inotiv such as assigning training modules in online leaning systems
  • Use visual Aid equipment for facilitating live trainings
  • Maintain records for training/education activities
  • Participate in in-house training programs for the technical staff as needed
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by management

  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3+ years lab animal experience preferred
  • Proficient with advanced skills using of Windows based application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) for things such as communication, tracking projects, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of business-related processes/procedures terminology and compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of training coordination for both live and online learning.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply applicable government regulations
  • An attitude for quality, an eye for detail, and the ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to relate complex concepts in a concise and easy to understand manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, often under tight time constraints.
  • Effectively work with peers, leadership, and stakeholders in a productive collaborative environment.
  • Ability to understand and comply with confidentiality and privacy rules and protect company property and confidential information.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply applicable government regulations
  • Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to interact with the scientific staff at all levels
  • Track and trend performance of the training program and prepare and present status reports for key performance indicators to management.
  • Assess training-related deviations and non-conformances with regards to level of risk to product quality.
  • Apply problem solving methodology to situations where data suggest process is not operating effectively or variability exceeds expectations.
  • Review site-specific root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions that relate to training deficiencies.
  • Champion the development of standard Training policies, procedures, job aids and training documents.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal customers to develop appropriate and effective training sessions and modules

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push, pull, lift 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Fine manipulation including handle touch object or tools and ability to handled controls to perform work.
  • Ability to read, write and understand oral and/or written instructions in English
  • This position requires frequent walking, standing for extending periods of time, sitting for extended periods of time, talking for extended periods of time, carrying items (maximum of 25 pounds), reaching while standing and general repetitive motions.
  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include use of protective equipment.

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
