Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is an AmLaw 100 Law Firm with 25 offices in the United States. We are seeking a payroll professional to join our Firm and collaborate with internal finance, benefits, and talent management teams to promote department accuracy and efficiency. This position will be based out of our Winston Salem, NC office, with opportunity of a hybrid role working remotely. This role is an integral part of the payroll team and responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing for more than 1,200 employees. The Senior Payroll Coordinator reports to the Payroll Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist with processing employees' payroll timely, accurately, and compliantly
* Reconcile payroll with timecard reports prior to transmission and validate reports
* Process employee data (new hires, changes, additional earnings)
* Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations
* Process correct garnishment calculations and communicate with agencies if applicable
* Assist employees with online timesheet portal issues/questions
* Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
* Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
* Scanning documents for personnel and record keeping purposes
* Process State Unemployment Forms
* Assign Timekeeper Numbers in the Firm's practice management software (Aderant)
* Other projects and duties as assigned (This may encompass working outside of payroll in other Finance department areas where your expertise may be needed)

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience with 500 plus employees in multiple states
* Strong grasp of payroll processing and payroll tax compliance requirements
* Extremely detail oriented
* Able to work under tight deadlines, with flexibility
* Capable of handling sensitive, confidential information with the utmost discretion
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Experience working with cloud-based payroll systems
* Overall understanding of accounting processes, functions and best practices
* Prior supervisory experience is preferred
* College degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human resources is preferred
* Experience with a law firm or other professional services firm is a plus
* Experience with UKG Pro is a plus
* Experience with a cloud-based document management system is a plus
