Summary:

Selective Insurance has a new opportunity for a PC Support Technician based in our Indianapolis, IN office! This role will be responsible for coordinating the installation of all computers and communication equipment. In addition, this role will also ensure that all CS hardware/software is properly installed within the corporate campus, as well as all remote sites. Must have the ability to react in a timely manner to all requests from field operations personnel. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM admin console adding devices to prepare for critical application(s) to be provisioned to the user base. Working knowledge and ability to quickly learn IT solutions and tools required to support all company endpoints. Assist with or ability to support L2 audio-visual solutions in place and escalations as needed
  • Ability to assess and troubleshoot L2 desktop escalations installed on Windows Enterprise OS builds, Office365/legacy releases when required, and diagnose Call Center telephone applications. Ability to identify and escalate to L3 engineers and Telecom teams as needed to assist with root cause analysis and assist with executing resolution(s).
  • Participates in product evaluation, including planning, installation, testing, and technical support strategies.
  • Uses experience and process management skills to identify and implement continuous improvement activities throughout Client Services.
  • Coordinates the configuration and installation of all hardware/ software for all departments. This activity includes a vendor interface for the delivery of equipment.
  • Make on-the-spot decisions as to the location of equipment and track asset inventory for hardware and software.

  • Coordinates the training of field-level key personnel in the use of all equipment and problem-determination procedures associated with the equipment.
  • Coordinates the installation of all "in-field" computing equipment.
  • Coordinates the installation or de-installation of all equipment in existing remote sites per requests from field operations
  • Assist onsite facilities services when required to coordinate service calls for generator and IDF closet(s) equipment.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of point of sale systems, "in-field" computing systems and field operations as they relate to the enterprise's systems.

  • Effective communicator and a disciplined planner.

  • Ability to work well with people in other departments and outside the enterprise

Salary range: $68,000 - $98,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
