Type of Employment: Full time, hourly

Starting Wage: $21/hr

General Duties:

A Scale Technician Performs calibrations, repairs, and preventative maintenance duties on industrial scales and other weighing equipment.  This position also offers an opportunity to eventually take over the business for the right person.

Requirements:

·         Must have a willingness to learn all aspects of the job.

·         Must have the ability to receive instruction and retain information.

·         Must be mechanically inclined (know how to use hand tools).

·         Must have basic computer skills.

·         Must have some mathematical aptitude.

·         Must be able to work unsupervised and get the job done.

·         Must have and be able to exhibit common sense.

·         Must be able to adapt to changes when necessary.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds and up on a regular basis.

·         Must be able to travel throughout Washington and Oregon.

·         Must be able to work at least 1 Saturday a month.

·         Must be able to stay 2-3 nights away from home 2 times per year.

·         Must have clean driving record.

·         Must be able to pass a drug screen.

·         Must be able to pass a background check.

·         Prior scale calibrations skills is a plus but not required.

·         Bi-lingual is a plus but not required.

·         CDL Class A helpful but not required.

Benefit Summary:

·         WA Sick Leave: Employer provides paid sick leave to all team members. Sick leave will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked.

·         Full medical after 6 months on the job

·         Paid vacation as follows: 1 week after 1 year on the job, 2 weeks after 2 years on the job
